Non-profit activities
Silvija has, for more than a decade, dedicated significant time to helping deserving individuals and institutions. Currently she works with Kavli Trust, a foundation that owns The Kavli Corporation and distributes the profits into major humanitarian, scientific and cultural projects, and Seema, and social entrepreneurship project focused on advising and mentoring highly educated minority women. She also serves on the board of Transparency International Norway, and as the President of Norwegian Polytechnic Society. In the past she has served as a member of expert council for Bloomberg Foundation and advisor for the European Centre for Women and Technology (ECWT).
